How to apply
Seniors at public high schools in the Barnesville, Ohio area can apply for $40,000 toward a degree at one of 109 eligible colleges. Everything goes through your guidance counselor.

Where it goes. Submit online and your application goes straight to the Selection Committee and the guidance office; you will get a reference number and nothing needs to be printed or mailed. Paper forms are still accepted: hand them to your guidance counselor, who forwards them to the Selection Committee.

Deadlines
Program deadlines and award notification

Submit the completed application, transcript, activities form, essay and recommendation letter to your guidance counselor during your senior year.

The Selection Committee notifies scholarship recipients no later than March 31 of the applicant's senior year.

Scholars submit the Annual $10K Grant Request Form by July 31 of each year they are eligible to receive the grant.
Terms
Terms and eligibility
- Candidates must be high school seniors attending a public high school in the Barnesville, Ohio area.
- Up to 4 seniors per graduating class will be nominated to receive the award.
- Award recipients who subsequently gain acceptance to and enroll in an eligible college or university will be entitled to receive $40,000 over the term of their enrollment to assist with the cost of their college education.
- To receive grants after the first year, award recipients are required to submit proof of enrollment at an eligible institution, maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0, and provide a brief reflection on their participation in the program.
- In determining criteria for eligibility and selection of recipients for scholarships under this Program, the Selection Committee will not discriminate on the basis of race, color, nationality, religion, ethnicity, age, or gender. Recipients of such scholarships will be selected on an objective and nondiscriminatory basis.
- The Organization reserves the right to impose additional, reasonable restrictions and/or requirements upon the selection of recipients and/or the administration of scholarships hereunder.
- Members of the Selection Committee and their respective family members are not eligible for awards under this program.

After you win
Keeping your award
The award is paid as an annual grant of $10,000 for each year you remain eligible, up to $40,000 in total. Each year, scholars:
- Provide proof of enrollment at an eligible college or university.
- Maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Write a brief reflection on their participation in the program.
- Submit the Annual $10,000 Grant Request Form to the Selection Committee by July 31.
